Rouseville City Council Resolution

RESOLUTION # 1-2000


Resolved by the Council of the Borough of Rouseville, Venango County, Pennsylvania,
That Gov. Thomas Ridge is respectfully requested to establish a State Commission to investigate the application of the use of our death penalty statutes in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and consider a stay of execution of all death row inmates by Executive Order until the final report is released to the general public and further order a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Office of the Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
APPROVED, this 5th day of September, 2000, at a regular meeting of the Rouseville Borough Council.

This resolution was passed by the Borough Council of Rouseville (population approx. 438) by a vote of the 6 to 1 on Tuesday September 5, 2000. A borough council member contacted the people in Erie to get a copy of their resolution in order to present it to the Borough Council of Rouseville.
